Color Run will be held in Turin on May 10, 2014

The amazing Color Run marathon this time gets to Italy. Already in May this year, residents and guests of the city of Turin will be able to take part in it.

The organizers of this unusual event are inviting everyone to it, reminding them not to forget to bring friends, sports shoes and good mood!

What is Color Run and, as they say, with what it is eaten? Color Run is a marathon party that takes place in many countries, including the USA, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Ireland and many others. As Travis Snyder, creator of this fun run, explains, Color Run is also called “5 happiest kilometers on the planet”, because this action gathers friends and relatives in one place.

It is in this run that you do not need to demonstrate all your speed, dexterity and endurance, you can relax and enjoy what is happening. For 5 kilometers of your journey you will be showered with head from feet to feet with multi-colored, but absolutely harmless powder, so upon arrival at the finish you will not recognize yourself. You've never been so colorful! After the end of the race you will find a music festival of flowers, as well as numerous contests and entertainment.

You can take part in the mini-marathon yourself, or join a group of runners. Representatives of this amazing event invite whole families to visit. Main condition: the team must be composed as minimum of four participants.

There are no losers or winners. The main task of Color Run is to provide all runners with a good mood for the year ahead. But everyone can go to the start, whether it be a two-year-old baby or a peppy 80-year-old pensioner. More than 60 percent of the participants in the “happiest 5 kilometers on the planet” take part in this event for the first time. And no wonder: Color Run, despite its popularity, is a recent project.

The first multi-colored race was held in the USA in 2012, and last year it was visited by thousands of people who wanted to color their lives in the literal sense of the word.

The marathon village will be located in the territory of Valentino Park (PARCO VALENTINO) and will begin its work at 10 am, and The start of the race in Turin is scheduled for May 10 at 15:00 local time, however, the organizers advise you to still monitor for possible changes in the schedule.

Why are more and more people taking part in this colorful frenzy? Each pursues its own goals. Someone wants to get the most powerful positive charge, someone just wants to unwind and spend time with their friends and relatives in an unusual way, and someone wants to make an offer among the peculiar live "art projects". The creators of Color Run claim that their original goal was an unusual promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

One small participant in this outstanding event said: “I am here because it is great and fun, especially when you are in the center of music and colors!”, And another runner agreed with him: “I didn’t run before, but I'm glad I took part at Color Run. ”

A visit to this unique event can be combined with visits to other sights of one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, so if you are planning your May holidays, we recommend that you book the hotel in Turin in advance. A train ticket, for example, from Milan will cost you 9-15 euros, and the journey will take about an hour. From Rome by high-speed train, you can get to Turin in 4 hours and 45 euros if you buy a ticket for a month.
