How to get from Dresden Airport to the city center

Dresden Airport is located in Kloche, a district of Dresden, 9 km from the center. Take the city train, tram, bus or taxi to cover this distance.

By city train

The suburban railway (S-Bahn) conveniently connects the airport (Flughafen Dresden) with the city. You will find the Dresden Airport station on the lower floor of the terminal. The S2 line connects the airport with the Neustadt railway station (Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt), 13 minutes drive, and the central station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof), which is 21 minutes away. Coming out at Hauptbahnhof station, you will find yourself at Pragerstraße. Eo is the main shopping street of the city. From here, to the main city sights are within easy reach.

By bus

Bus 77

Bus 77 will take you from the terminal to the Infineon-Nord stop. The journey takes 7 minutes. Then change onto tram 7. It will take you to Albertplatz, Pirnaischer Platz or the train station.

Bus 80

Bus 80 goes to ElbePark, a shopping and entertainment center, and then to the Omsewitz district, also stops near the Grenzstrasse train station, where you can change onto S2; at Käthe-Kollwitz-Platz, change onto tram 7; near the railway station Dresden-Klotzsche, there is a transfer to regional trains and S2.

Tickets

Tickets cost € 2.30 and are valid on the bus, tram and train. You can buy it in the machine at the bus stop, at the driver or in the arrivals area at the information desk.

By taxi
