Traveling Italy among food and fashion

The two main pride of Italians became the protagonists of a tour entirely dedicated to design

Among the many exceptional things that Italy, without a twinge of conscience, can be proud of, design and cooking are rightly considered. Designlike designing in every sense, and cooking based on quality and natural productsbut not without an element of creativity. Based on these two realities, Patrizia Scarzella and Valentina Downey developed the idea of a tourist route along the peninsula, the main purpose of which would be to study the traditions of both classic Italian design and culinary design.

The proposal is aimed mainly at foreigners, but it will also be interesting to Italians who are interested in this field (students of design schools, entrepreneurs, or just amateurs of both directions). So, we present to you the route that goes through the key centers of Italian creative culinary thought, - Fashion Cooking Tour (Food Design Tour).

The starting (in fact, just like the ending) waypoint of course is Milan, the beating heart of Italian design: in the capital of Lombardy, you can visit not only the official and well-known centers of fashion and design, but also places that are usually closed to the public.

From the Triennale (official website www.triennale.it) - a huge museum and exhibition space that combines all the trends of modern Italian design and decorative art - to museums in private ateliers, from creative workshops to showrooms. The participants of the tour will have a rich program with food breaks between lectures on cooking, workshops and, of course, special tastings.

Further the journey continues in the main Italian culinary design centers. At the same time, at different stages of the route, emphasis will be placed on various elements that are characteristic of each city: Culinary vision of Turin (Food Vision di Torino) and Food Valley in Parma (Food Valley di Parma), Taste of Umbria (Taste in Umbria) and Traditional food Florence (Firenze presso Traditional Food), finally, the Mediterranean Food Experience in Puglia. At the final stage of the tour, participants will be able to spend several free days in Rome or Venice.

The standard package of the Fashion Culinary Tour is designed for 10 days of travel (Milan + cities of culinary design centers to choose from + free days), but it is also possible to develop an individual program based on personal preferences or specific interests of the tourist. Or you can simply delve into the study of Milan alone for three days. In each round, along with meetings with local architects, artisans and designers, participants will be accompanied by experienced guides - experts in the field of design and culinary.
