Hundreds of city residents and tourists in carnival costumes throw oranges at each other, following a long tradition. According to legend, one young bride promised her bridegroom on the day of their wedding that she would never give up the right of the first wedding night to the oppressive and evil ruler of the city, who had such a right. After the girl was subjected to persistent harassment of the vile official, she did not come up with anything better than to kill him and throw her head from the balcony. 01/08. - 10.01. - Snow Sculpture Festival, San Candido
